http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-c13065 Lavezzi’s arrival at Parc des Princess has not only pleased the coaches at the club. Players have also expressed their delight over the Argentinean's addition to the squad.
The 27-year-old has moved to Paris for a fee believed to be around 30 million Euros last week and has joined his compatriot http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Pastore-c18082, who joined the cash-laden capital club 12 months earlier.
Pastore, who was sold to PSG by Palermo in a 40 million Euros move, is relishing the prospect of playing alongside a player of such calibre. The 23-year-old has praised the bosses at the club for acquiring the services of such a high-profile player.
While talking to reporters, the former Huracan player has welcomed the latest addition at the club.
"I'm very happy with his arrival because he is a friend of mine."
The Argentinean, who became familiar with Lavezzi when both players were on the international duty, believes that the arrival of Lavezzi will improve his side’s chances of securing the Championelle after PSG’s failure to win the title last season despite
spending heavily in the transfer market.
"I got to know him in the national team, and his coming here has made me very happy. It's certain that he will bring us a lot going forward, and that is decisive for us,” Pastore added.
Praising his countryman, Pastore added that everyone is aware of Lavezzi’s potential and he will prove to be a great addition to the side.
"We know that he has great potential and that he will be an added asset to us."
Javier Pastore has failed to live up to the expectations so far following his arrival at the capital club. However, the Argentinean is hoping that the arrival of Lavezzi will help him improve his game as well.
Paris Saint-Germain were the Ligue 1 runners up in 2011/2012 campaign after they were piped to the title by Montpellier Herault. After finishing only three points behind the champions, Les Parisiens would want to avoid such repetition this time.
