Legendary midfielder, Javier Zanetti, has insisted that he is confident that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 and
the player is impressed with Mazzarri’s successful time at these clubs.
Inter had a drastic campaign last term under Andrea Stramaccioni as they finished in ninth place on the Serie A table with 54 points from the 38 games played. The side did not manage to get a place in any of the European competitions
and will be contending for domestic honours only in the next season.
Zanetti claimed that Walter Mazzarri is respected immensely for his achievements and admitted that his side made a great decision by making him the new manager. He added that Mazzarri will have a successful time at Inter and is
confident that the club will be competing for major titles under his management.
The skipper claimed that a club of the stature of Inter should always be competing for titles as they have been doing in the past.
“Mazzarri? We’re talking about a coach who has been successful wherever he’s been. I hope, indeed, I know, that he’ll do the same at Inter. We’re setting out to be very competitive right from the start of the season: a club such
as Inter should always be aiming to win the title. We’ll have to do that right down to the last kick of the season,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the veteran also commented on Antonio Cassano’s rumoured departure from the club. He admitted that he has a great relationship with the Italian international and hailed the player’s ability. However, he stated
that he has no idea of what Cassano has decided regarding his future.
“Cassano to leave? I have a fantastic relationship with Antonio. He’s a true champion. I’ve read about the rumour, but I don’t have any idea about what’ll happen,” he concluded.
Javier Zanetti has made over 600 league appearances for Inter Milan and has scored 12 times in the process.
