Jawhar expected to win Performancepr.Com Handicap
Jawhar is expected to augment his success ratio to fifty percent by finishing first in the Performancepr.Com Handicap that will take place at Sandown racecourse today, June 7.
The Class 4 contest will commence at 7:55 (GMT). Pursuing the prize cheque worth £4,075 on the good to soft course of 1 mile and 14 yards, the William Haggas-trained young gelding will compete against 8 rivals including Spa’s Dancer, Yojimbo, Hurricane Lady, Rougette, Peponi, Epsom Salts, Daneside and Salient.
Jawhar looks to be in good form at the moment. The four-year-old runner has won 1 of his total 3 starts so far. Starting his career with 7th position in October 2010, the brilliant sprinter went on to break his maiden in the very next outing on September 5, 2011.
In his last start entitled as David Brooks Memorial Handicap on May 10, 2012, the son of Halling out of Kawn finished 4th while being 10-11 favourite.
His only fault line is inconsistency. The Hamdan Al Maktoum-owned does not run regularly and takes long breaks.
As far as today’s event is concerned, Jawhar is going to make a big impact. If he manages to produce constant pace, he will have up to 90 percent chances to thrive.
None of Jawhar’s competitors is likely to impede him, thus, he will make his way towards the finish line convincingly.
However, Spa’s Dancer and Yojimbo will fight for the second position.
Spa’s Dancer elegantly finished as a runner-up against a dozen of competitors in his last outing on May 11, 2012. Prior to this, the Ed de Giles-trained bay gelding had gained 4th position on April 28. As a whole, the veteran horse has won 2 of his total 27 starts to date.
On the other hand, Yojimbo delivered some outstanding performances during the last year. In September-October 2011, the Mick Channon-trained grey gelding accomplished a classic triumph along with three runner-up ranks in a row. He finished 3rd against 11 rivals in his last start on May 26, 2012.
Thus, the event will be thrilling and interesting to watch. Jawhar will be able to thrive emphatically. Good luck to all the runners.
