Jawhary to translate Menvier By Cooper Handicap Hurdle into victory at Taunton on 12th March
The Class 4 Menvier By Cooper Handicap Hurdle will get held at Taunton over two miles and a furlong on Monday, 12th March. A lineup of eleven has been aligned for the race that has a purse worth £4, 224.
Jawhary, Pivotal’a five-year-old bay gelding out of mare Moon’s Whisper, has been racing at Taunton ever since he broke into the new season. Neither of the races culminated in a victory.
Jawhary’s seasonal debut was in the Southwest-Racing.Co.UK Novices’ Hurdle on 9th January at Taunton over two miles and a furlong. The 10/11 favourite of the race, Darlan, was the winner who secured a very narrow victory from the runner up, Jump
City, who was only at half lengths’ distance.
Concluding the race third was Giordano Bruno.
Jawhary was positioned sixth on the lineup of thirteen.
His next start of the season was in the Check Betfair Before You Bet Novices’ Hurdle on 19th January at Taunton over two miles and one furlong.
Leading the track set for twelve by four lengths was the winner Pearl Swan with Daryl Jacob onboard.
The 6/5 favourite runner up of the race was Ifyouletmefinish while taking onto the third position after the winner was Miss Tenacious. Once more Jawhary finished the race sixth.
Today Jawhary will stride on for the third start of the season and will yet again be exposed to the same distance and the similar race course. Putting in more effort and doing it right this time should keep him away from defeat.
He needs to look out for Miss Tenacious, Refuse To Bend’s five-year-old bay mare out of mare Very Speed.
She took on to the new season by being part of the lineup that was to race at Taunton in the Check Betfair Before You Bet Novices’ Hurdle on 19th January at Taunton over two miles and one furlong.
She was the third one to join the winner, Pearl Swan, on the other side of the wire. Her next two races of the season were defeats but she should not be taken lightly for her second start at Taunton. If she could get placed the first time, there are complete
chances that she can notch it up this time.
