Sri Lanka will play their group fixtures at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Hambantota. Jayawardene said that the wind at venue would be a little bit challenging; however, he was confident the familiarity of home conditions would give
them an edge over their opponents.
"We have played at Hambantota before and the wind there presents some challenges," said Jayawardene, a veteran of 37 T20 Internationals.
"But it is the same for the other teams as well. With the experience we have we should see how we can use it to our advantage," he added further.
The twelve participating teams have been divided into four groups of three each. Top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Eight stage.
