Jayawardene is a seasoned cricketer and the analysts all around the world feel that the veteran middle order batsman is surely going to bring some stability in the performances of the Sri Lankan cricket team.
The right handed batsman said that he wants his men to be mentally stronger and by doing that, Sri Lanka can beat any team of the world because they do not lack talent.

The Sri Lankan team is currently touring Australia where it is taking part in the tri-nation series, which includes India as well. The Islanders were beaten in their first match by the Men in Blue but the Sri Lankan captain is hopeful of a better showing
in the coming matches.

"We felt that their attitude, their hunger on the field, their bowling aggression, was great. It was a good game of cricket and I was happy with the effort. We made a few mistakes, but we executed a lot of our plans and just fell short,” he added.
