  1. like everyone said above jazz. whats good about jazz whats the bad on ballet?

jazz: upbeat and fun, not always having to be quiet and uptight with posture fun not so stiff and all that :]

ballet bads: classical music WILL bore you, you have to keep attention and be quiet a lot, you have to have amazing posture and greatt balance,

no ballet isnt the worse thing out there its actually kind of fun, but the uniforms/outfits for ballet will be more expensive i mean tutus are like 200$ but if you like ballet and old fashion stuff go for it. :)

you decide, jazz has bright costumes and its fun. ballet can be fun too. just think about it depends on your style.

  2. i like jazz better!

  3. If you want something free. And move all around. Or you want to express yourself freely. CHOOSE JAZZ.

If you want to feel you are flying. And move to sound of some soft and classical music. Or want to express your feelings through movements. CHOOSE BALLET.

    Or try them both! :)

  4. ballet is the best thing that was ever created so ballet ,if you want to do jazz later you will need ballet because ballet is the base of all or most dances so ballet

  5. I suggest you to sit in both styles of classes and see which fits you best.

I took jazz and tap since I was 11 and started to take ballet at 15.

I actually continued ballet through college because I loved it way more than the other two styles.

In college, my ballet classes began as jazz class ended so I got to see their dance styles and it just made me glad I was taking ballet.

I just love the structure of ballet and how graceful the movements are. And ballet was a workout. I lost 10 lbs, and got major muscle tone. I was in the best shape of my college years.

I had to take jazz in order to take tap classes. I guess because I was "coerced" I didn't really like it.

  6. I think jazz would be better, since the range of steps is wide, but then again ballet is the base for any other dance.... so why don't you sign up for summer classes of both, they are usually cheap and let people know what they do prefer, so when  registration time comes along you know which you like best.

  7. Jazz Classes, Both classical but i'd prefare jazz. Just personal opininon.
