The 54-year-old knows that Troyes need to find the winning formula soon if they want to stay in the top flight but has refused to press the panic button yet
ESTAC are in all kinds of trouble when it comes to Ligue 1, and with just 6 points on the table after 10 games, things aren’t looking good for the newly promoted side.
The club from North-Central http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 is currently 19th in the league and are in dire need of positive results in the upcoming matches. Troyes’ 2-1 victory over Ligue 2 heavy giants, AS Monaco, has come at the right moment for the struggling club
and coach, Jean-Marc Furlan is hoping that Tuesday’s win will kick-start their season.
While talking to ligue1.com, the Frenchman stated that Troyes have big ambitions and they are working very hard to get their season back on track. The coach added that time is running fast and ESTAC need to return to winning ways as early as possible if
they want to achieve their objectives this season.
“We're playing a lot of games and we need to make up a lot of points.”
Talking about the Monaco game, Furlan said that it was a good win for the club but he has moved on from that, and his focus is on the match against Montpellier in the Ligue 1.
“Directly after Monaco, I was already thinking about Montpellier [in the league on Saturday], but it's true we have been getting some good results after starting the season pretty hard-hit by injuries."
The coach added that things aren’t going right for his side in the league but players haven’t lost hope and are confident of turning things around.
"Winning takes a weight of the players' shoulders, but still, the lads have never lost their heads and haven't once disappointed me this season.”
Praising his players, the 54-year-old said that young players have been really impressive this season and they are handling the situation pretty well.
“What I've also notice is how impervious the young players seem to be to all kinds of pressure, which certainly wasn't the case when I was a player."
