The Frenchman is pleased with the attitude of the players and is remaining upbeat about Troyes’ chances of staying in the Ligue 1 this season

Despite their poor run of form, club head coach, Jean-Marc Furlan is staying positive and is confident that his young side will soon turn things around.
The Frenchman was talking to ligue1.com and when asked about his side’s objectives this season, the 54-year-old stated that their priority is to stay in the Ligue 1 this season and he wants to achieve that feat in a convincing manner.
The coach said that poor results are part of this game and there is no need to press the panic button yet. Furlan added that he has full backing of the president and he has faith in his players, who are very committed to the club’s cause.
"I think really my attitude has a lot to do with the confidence of the president and how committed the players are.”
The Frenchman said that these players have been playing together for a while and it’s the main reason behind team’s unity both on and off the pitch.
"I think it also has to do with the fact that we've already come a long way.”
Furlan said that a club needs to be financially competitive to build a strong team, but Troyes have the ability to survive at this level and he is confident that ESTAC will soon hit top gear.
“In the long term, results depend on economic means and the talent you can attract to the club but over one or two seasons, anything is possible, and everyone here at the club believes firmly in our project.”S
Talking about Troyes’ objectives this season, the former AS Nantes coach said that their first priority is to avoid the drop and it should be done convincingly.
“Our objective is now to make sure that there are at least three clubs behind us on the table when the season ends."
