Jean-Marc Mormeck claims Wladimir Klitschko has a glass chin – Boxing news
The Marksman, Jean-Marc Mormeck, who is a former World Boxing Council and World Boxing Association unified world cruiserweight champion, is fully geared up ahead of his mega showdown with Wladimir Klitschko, who is the current WBA (Super), IBF, WBO Super,
IBO and Ring Magazine Champion.
Mormeck, who will challenge Dr. Steelhammer, Klitschko, for his titles on December 10, 2011 at the Esprit Arena, Düsseldorf in Nordrhein-Westfalen, claimed Wladimir has a glass chin and he cannot take a punch.
The 39-year-old Frenchman, Mormeck, who carries a record of winning 36 of his 40 professional fights, with 22 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, told the media Wladimir has lost three times in his career and all three times he was stopped because
he cannot stand a powerful punch.
“Wladimir has a glass chin that I will break. He has lost three fights and each time he lost them without going the distance,” Mormeck said. “He couldn't recover each time he got hit. That means he doesn't take those hits well.”
Mormeck vowed he will beat Wladimir on the fight night, as he thinks he has a perfect game plan for the 6 ft 6 in Ukrainian giant.
“I want his belts,” Mormeck said. “If I want to get them, I'll have to smash his face. I've seen all his opponents, and when they get in the ring, I have the impression that they don't do what they need to do. They don't move forward. They don't take any
risk.”
Mormeck also spoke to Klitschko during the news conference and said, “I've already seen you in a bad shape quite a few times.”
The 35-year-old, Klitschko, who holds a record of winning 56 of his 59 professional fights, with 49 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, is the longest reigning Heavyweight champion in history for the IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles and the 7th longest
reigning heavyweight champion of all time. Therefore, all eyes will be set to see if Mormeck really has what it takes to shrug off Wladimir in the ring or not.
