Jean-Marc Mormeck claims he will beat Wladimir Klitschko and take all titles – Boxing news
The Marksman, Jean-Marc Mormeck, who is a former World Boxing Council and World Boxing Association unified world cruiserweight champion, has claimed he will shock the boxing world by beating Dr. Steelhammer, Wladimir Klitschko, in their upcoming fight.
The Frenchman Mormeck, who will take on the current WBA Super, IBF, WBO Super, IBO and Ring Magazine Champion, Wladimir Klitschko, on December 10, 2011 at the ESPRIT Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany, stated Klitschko has a glass chin and he cannot stand his
punches.
Mormeck fought Haye back in November 2007 at the Stade Marcel Cerdan in Paris. Though Mormeck, who at that time was ranked number one by the Ring Magazine, lost to Haye via technical knockout, he knocked down the Hayemaker in the fourth round. Mormeck vowed
he will do the same with Wladimir but this time it will be a knockout not a knockdown.
“I can imagine what the odds will look like for me against Wladimir Klitschko. But I know my skills. I had Haye on the canvas and shortly before a knock out which Klitschko could not do. What I missed out against Haye I will now do with him. Wladimir has
a glass chin which I will break. He cannot stand punches,” Mormeck said.
The 6 ft 6” Ukrainian giant, Wladimir Klitschko, who holds a record of winning 56 of his 59 professional fights, with 49 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, is considered as the number two pound-for-pound boxer in the world. He is also the 7th longest
reigning heavyweight champion of all time.
Therefore, Mormeck admitted he will enter the ring as an underdog but on the same note, he claimed he will shock the world and will travel back with all the championship belts.
“On December 11, I will travel back to Paris with a suitcase full of championship belts. I enjoy being the underdog in this fight and I will shock the boxing world!” Mormeck added.
