In an interview with OL System, president of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 Jean-Michel Aulas gave more insight to the new austerity plan of the Rhone club and spoke about the future downsizing at the club which includes the departure of at least one big-name
player.
Following his recent announcement of the club’s new austerity plan which aims to cut down the financial burden, Jean-Michel Aulas took some time out to discuss more details on the austerity plan.
With the club no longer looking to make giant leaps in the upcoming transfer windows, Les Gones fans should not expect to see big-name players arriving at the Stade de Gerland anytime soon.
Almost five days ago, Aulas said that the group is committed to define a new strategy for the economic stability of the club as Lyon look to complete the construction of their new home, Stade des Lumieres. It is expected that the wage bill would be cut down
to at least 20 million Euros. Furthermore, the club is looking to recoup in the excess of 40 million Euros through player transfers.
Aulas shed some more light on the finer details of the austerity plan while talking to OL System.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aly-Cissokho-c5313 has many times expressed his desire to play in the English Premier League in the future and rumours suggest that the young left-back might be allowed to leave the Rhone club if financial requirements are met.
“Aly had to go in the summer transfer window. Remi Garde is right to say he is a player who brings a lot. We had anticipated his departure with the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mouhamadou-Dabo-c26889. There has been a positive change in Aly since the beginning of the campaign. We
need to optimise the wage bill in January or June, there are a number of assumptions possible.”
Followed by German Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund and several English clubs, Lyon are bound to get several offers for the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 man when the winter transfer window reopens.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yoann-Gourcuff-c37416 were also rumoured to be on the move. However, with Bastos committing to the club for a long time, Aulas has ruled out any possibility of the Brazilian to leave the club.
On the other hand, Aulas is not looking to let go of Yoann Gourcuff as he feels that the Frenchman has a lot to prove and will improve soon.
However, Ederson’s future is still far from settled as the Brazilian’s contract runs out next June. The midfielder might be sold in January 2012 if contract talks don’t give a favourable outcome.
