Naturally, the Lyon supremo was asked about Yoann Gourcuff’s state. The midfielder has been absent since February 14 and made only a cameo appearance against Nicosia. Bought for around 22 million Euros, Gourcuff is hardly justifying his price tag.
However, Aulas is willing to be patient with the Frenchman and feels that he will turn around in due time.
“Of course! He will turn. I often speak with him. He is better physically and mentally. The difference between Playstation and real life is that with the machine you cannot repeat what we do, a real player can.”
With Olympique Lyonnais in the final of both Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue, Jean-Michel Aulas is certainly a happy man. For a long time, Les Gones have not won any silverware and now, the Rhone giants have a great chance of ending their trophy drought.
