Leading the 2012/2013 Ligue 1 standings with 35 points, two ahead of second-placed Paris Saint-Germain, things are looking really good for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130. However, the Rhone giants position at the summit is in serious jeopardy following PSG’s two consecutive
4-0 wins inflicted to Valenciennes and Evian TG respectively.
And, while talking to reporters regarding his team’s upcoming Ligue 1 encounter against an in-form PSG side, club president, Jean-Michel Aulas says that from the beginning of the season, he was scared of the Parisian outfit and added that his team should
be scared of a team that has consecutively beaten two sides 4-0 away from home.
“Paris scared us from the beginning. It would be an insult to Carlo Ancelotti and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 for not being afraid of a team that wins their away matches 4-0,” says Aulas.
And, Aulas says that his team will remain humble regardless of the result of Sunday’s encounter between the top two sides of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.
“In football, humility can always make you a winner. By remaining humble, you can always spring a surprise.”
In the 1-1 draw away to Nancy Lorraine just a few days back, Olympique Lyonnais were missing a few players through injury but Aulas feels that his side has enough talent in the dressing room to attain good results.
Throughout the season, striker Bafetimbi Gomis has been in inspiring form for Les Gones. However, just a few months ago, the Frenchman was on the verge of leaving Stade de Gerland. However, the striker chose to stay at the club and with the January transfer
window approaching rapidly, he has once again been linked with a move away from the club.
Although Aulas is looking to sell a few players this winter, the Lyon supremo says that he will do so after taking into account the opinion of the coach and the player.
“Bafe is very much in demand. The door is ajar. But we will take into account the opinion of the coach and it will be up to the player to decide.”
