Jeanette Ottesen Gray pockets Women’s 100m freestyle gold – Swimming news
Jeanette Ottesen Gray of Denmark pocketed gold medal of the Women’s 100m butterfly on last day of the 2013 Mare Nostrum Circuit in Canet, France on Sunday, June 16.
The Danish swimmer lived up to the expectations of her supporters in the 100m discipline as she transpired on finishing end for gold medal. Gray experienced strong resistance from her opponents in the 100m discipline as she surfaced on the finishing wall
for the title.
With her notable pace, Gray remained a full body length ahead of her challengers and posted an effort of 54.01 seconds for the title.
She was chased by Pernille Blume of Denmark, who was 0.91 seconds apart and emerged on the finishing end for silver medal by producing a time of 54.92 seconds.
Hanna-maria Seppala of Finland, who was 0.27 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and clocked a time of 55.19 seconds for bronze medal, traced the second best finisher.
The third best finisher was chased by Daniela Schreiber of Germany, who was only half a body length behind and tapped the wall for fourth position with the timing of 55.65 seconds.
Fifth position of the race was obtained by Larissa Oliveira of Brazil, who was 0.17 seconds slower and emerged on the finishing end with the timing of 55.82 seconds.
On the other hand, Jeremy Stravius of France occupied gold medal of the 100m discipline in Men’s corner. With his impeccable pace, Stravius stayed in a comfortable lead over her following swimmer and touched the wall with an effort of 48.53 seconds for gold
medal.
The champion was chased by Hanser Garcia Hernandez of Cuba, who was only a stroke behind and surfaced on the finishing end for silver medal by producing an effort of 48.82 seconds.
The second best finisher was traced by Shinri Shioura of Japan, who was 0.64 seconds away from his foregoing finisher and transpired on the finishing end with an effort of 49.46 seconds.
Kenta Ito of Japan, who was 1.03 seconds slower from his preceding swimmer and posted an effort of 50.49 seconds, obtained fourth position of the discipline.
Federico Grabich of Argentina, who was only 0.05 seconds slower and clocked a time of 50.54 seconds, secured fifth position of the event.
In addition, Stravius receive massive appreciation from the crowd while winners secured medals at the prize ceremony of the tournament.
