Jeanette Ottesen Gray of CORINTHIANS/ABDEM won gold medal of the Women’s 50m freestyle on second day of the 2012 Maria Lenk Trophy in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Wednesday, April 25.
Gray demonstrated her furious efforts in the shortest freestyle discipline. With her invincible efforts, she managed to outperform her strongest competitor, Graciele Hermann of GNU, on the finishing end for gold medal.
Her quickest response to the start played a vital role in her victory as she reached the finishing end for gold medal by submitting a time of 25.06 seconds.
Her scintillating effort was trailed by Hermann, who stayed 0.09 seconds behind and emerged on the finishing blockade for silver medal by submitting a time of 25.15 seconds.
Hermann was followed by Flavia Delaroli-Cazziolato of ECP/SABESP, who remained nearly half body length slower from her and hit the wall with an effort of 25.69 seconds for bronze medal.
The third position holder remained in a marginal lead of 0.13 seconds over her subsequent swimmer, Alessandra Marchioro of FFC/RJ, who settled on the finishing end as fourth position holder by submitting a time of 25.82 seconds.
Similarly, Marchioro was followed by Tatiana Lemos De Lima of ECP/SABESP, who was just two strokes away from overpowering the efforts of her former finisher and tapped the wall for fifth position by reporting a time of 25.92 seconds.
Lima was chased by her team-member, Larissa Martins Oliveira, who remained almost half body length away from her and hit the wall with the timing of 26.16 seconds for sixth position.
The seventh finest spot of the race was secured by Priscila C C De Souza of BFR, who remained only 0.08 seconds behind and finished her race in seventh best place with the timing of 26.24 seconds.
