Jeans/Pants is considered a ''unisex'' outfit but skirts are forbidden for men. Why is this discrimination?

I know about quilts which are a skirt like thing worn by Scottish men. The question is specifically about the type of skirts worn by women..

Well, it took hundreds of years for pants to become acceptable for women so just give it time and skirts for men will probably become acceptable.

Wearing skirts isn't all that great.  I'm sure if you really wanted to wear one, no one would stop you.

Men aren't forbidden to wear skirts, they can wear one if they want.
