  1. doubt it. have an 07 with a tow capacity of 2000 with 4.11 gears. most 07/08 are only 1000 pounds

  2. I don't think it would be very good idea, not only because of the short wheelbase, but because the jeep would most likely be much lighter than your boat and would push the jeep around.  With the short wheelbase and light wieght I often have a hard time pulling a trailer down the highway that only wieghs in at just over 1000 lbs fully loaded with fire wood.

  3. depends on the weight of the boat and trailor, because of the Jeep been of such a short wheelbase i think it might be a bit of a handful to drive. looking on some sites it only can tow 2000lbs. it would depend on the size motor you have. my car is a 4.0lt st6 ford (i am in aus) has a towing capisity of 5300lbs. and its just a sedan.

i think you should look for a different tow car, one that has a longer wheelbase.

in saying that i could be wrong. assuming you have the boat and car take it for a drive and see what its like.

  4. Not very well or safely.

  5. You will have a lot of trailer sway unless you get a 4 door then it wouldn't be so bad.A properly equiped(3.73 gear and towing package) 07-08 4 door Wrangler has a towing capacity of 3500 lbs.If you have a 2 door Wrangler I wouldn't even try it,too much trailer sway.

  6. I don't think so.

The 2008 Wrangler Unlimited only has a 1000 lbs. to 3500 lbs. towing capacity.....it maybe even less for the 2 door.

  7. NO. You should never pull something that is that much bigger than the tow-vehicle. You need a 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck or Van to pull it safely.
