Question:

Jeep cherokee 93 issue?

okay. so I tried changing the door jamb switches, and no such luck. The interior lights on my car will still stay on. What I am trying to do is take all the bulbs out, so that it won't run my battery down.

Now, this might be a stupid question, but it'll be helpful. If I take all the bulbs out, and if there is still (hypathetically speaking) a ground wire touching, will it still kill my battery? Even with no bulbs in the car? I need this car to be ready in a week and I need to know so that I can drive it, if not I will need to put it in the shop.

If I could get some answers that would be GREAT! Please..REAL answers, thanks.

  1. Look in your manual to see if there is anything else on the fuse for the door lights. If it isn't important like your glove box light or lighter I would just remove the fuse until you have time to track down your problem and that way you won't loose the bulbs and don't waste a lot of time taking them all out and putting them back.

Have you checked the switch for turning the interior lights on while the door is shut  . It may be on and all you will have to do is shut off the switch. Some times its on the headlight switch you have to turn it one way or the other.

  2. No it will not as long as all the bulbs are pulled.
