I'm looking to do a 3.5 or 4 inch lift on my 88 YJ and was wanting some extra input on which kit you think is better, and possibly the best place to buy.

Here are the three I am considering,

  1. The third / 16119 is more complete it comes with a new angled Pittman arm. If you don't get one in the kit you will have to buy one separate. This is to help control  the bump steer effect. Their are other added features that you need like the transfer case lowering  spacers ,so go for this one.Don't forget to get longer flex brake lines front and rear.

  2. second and third are both good if it was me i would go with third

  3. i would go with the skyjacker, you might get a better deal if you call skyjacker themselves

  4. first pick the hight then go with the one that provides the most complete kit not sure with a YJ but i am partial to FULL TRACTION

  5. you got the money, you got the power......choose yourself

(i like the second one, dunno why).

  6. since your not looking for a monster lift...i'd go with skyjacker. i think you'd get the best ride from it.

the important thing is to get a quality set of leaf springs and shocks...that will determine your ride quality. if you don't care how the ride is i'd go cheap. you could probably buy a 4" for 450.

if your looking to save money try using rusty's offroad i use them a lot for random builders parts and they treat me right...just throwing that out there.
