Jeer, owned by Mrs. Jean Turpin, is under the training of Michael Easterby.
He recently bagged a victory in the Bet At Blue Square at Wolverhampton on 11th February, 2012.
Saddled by jockey, Paddy Aspell, he was the prominent runner from the beginning. He took the lead in the final furlong and made his way through the wire first, defeating Kames Park by ½ a length.
His chances of winning are looking up in this race because he aced the same race on 3rd April, 2011.
The son of Selkirk, out of mare Purring, was mounted by Mr. D. H. Dunsdon and made progress in the final two furlongs as he defeated Sancho Panza by 1 length in the Aja Gentleman Amateur Riders’ Handicap at Doncaster.
Today, he will be the mount for Mr. O Greenall, whose aim will be to guide the runner towards victory.
Trained by Patrick Holmes for owners Foulrice Park Racing Limited, Lil Ella may be able to secure a placed finish today. The daughter of Pearl Of Love, out of mare Royal Jubilee, gained the confidence of her connections with her recent victory.
The five year old mare triumphed in the Get Your Bet On Bluesq.com Amateur Riders’ Handicap at 20th February, 2012 at Wolverhampton.
Ridden by jockey, Mrs. Freya Brewer, Lil Ella was held-up in the beginning of the race and made slow progress. Her pace quickened with two furlongs to go, she took the lead and stayed on well till she crossed the wire.
She defeated Karen Tutty trained Harare by a large margin of 5 lengths, not threatened by the runner-up in the last furlong.
It looks like this race belongs to Jeer as he is all set to defeat the competition.
Lil Ella may give him a run for his money and stand as an obstacle in his way, catching the eye of punters and bettors.
