Jeev Milkha Singh all set to tee off in Dubai
By far, Jeev Milkha Singh is the most successful Indian Golfer. He was the pioneer player from India to make it to the European tour.
However, for the last two years, Jeev has been having some injury problems. He even failed to make it to Race to Dubai in the last couple of seasons.
This year, however, has been very fruitful for the Indian. He won a title this year at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open.
Milkha has been a golf ambassador for the Indians on numerous tours. He has made some appearances in US as well.
Singh has been facing some injury problems over the years. Even as of now, he is not hundred percent fit, as there is some problem in his index finger.
The top ranked Indian golfer is currently ranked 31 in the Race to Dubai standings. This stat speaks about the way he has played this season.
"I love playing in Dubai. I have so many friends and supporters that it almost feels like home. And then I have had my sponsors, too, here," said Jeev.
The world number 98 has played previously in the Race to Dubai World Tour Championship but it was back in 2009, he finished 13th.
"I am looking forward to this event at Jumeirah, where the golf course is in superb shape and the field is absolutely world-class. Playing with the best always makes one feel good," he said.
The field at the Race to Dubai Word Tour Championship is pretty tough, as all the top ranked Europeans, including Rory McIlroy, will be playing in it.
Luke Donald, who just snatched the second spot from Tiger Woods after his victory in Japan, will also feature in Jumeirah.
Jeev has not been in the best of forms lately. He missed the cut at the Singapore Open and prior to that, he was not playing the best golf to begin with.
However, this is his chance to show the world what he is capable off. He has already won Euros 857,000 this season and a good show in Dubai would certainly boost his bank account.
