  1. I certainly didnt 'hate' him, but I feel that Freo needed a bloody good cleanout, just like the Bombers did!

  2. havent heard thou freo did need the clean out...@ laurie......meadhurst wouldnt be playing like that if he was at freo, the umpires wouldnt let him (joking)....players that have been traded from freo traditionally are only the good ones....clemet, medhurst, simmons....white, that blonde dude from essondon.....the only decent player freo has ever drafted is mcpharlin the guys a jet

  3. As someone else said - left it probably a season too long. When he was at Melbourne, he was, well, a wizard around goal. When he moved on and got a bit older and slower he was just an idiot. About time he made way for Freo's rebuilding (again)

  4. Well, it wasn't actually a retirement announcement - he was given the flick by Fremantle. In today's local rag it says he will be playing WAFL with South Fremantle next year (& yes, he carries on just the same at WAFL level!).

I could not stand the sight of him. He has the biggest chip on his shoulder of any footballer I have ever come across.

With him going, & added to those already retired & cut this year, Fremantle will be losing over 1500 AFL games of experience with their departure.

  5. he had his bad moments - and his good ones, and his good ones were outstanding. he had so many golden moments that widely influenced such a good carreer by him - his only problem was that his anger took over him and his actions earning him 11 meetings with the tribunal, he has one of the most memorable celebrations after goal and wont ever be forgotten. If he didnt have an anger problem he would be playing for another 2 years.

  6. Love him or hate we will still remember him as one of those stand out characters of our game a bit like Jacko or Mad Dog Muir players that make us passionate about screaming for our team is what makes us love footy.

  7. Its about time I reckon, yeah a wizard but he left it a little too long and made a fool of himself on unforgettable occasions.

  8. I don't know about the erratic farm boy, but answer me this you Freo experts, why did you trade Medhurst to Collingwood?

  9. ABOUT FRIGGEN TIME!!

And i didn't think he was that great of player, and i'm not just saying this because i support eagles i honestly didn't think he was an 'awesome' player!

ahahaah did adelaide just find this info out now.
