Jeff Gordon's new mind-set---Is it going to change anything?

Question

Okay, Gordon.... first time Gordon wrecked when he had a good car this year. He talked of simply giving up trying to stay in the chase. He said he's just going to race. Not the fact that he's lost that pressure, although, he's only 9th in points, do you think he'll start winning? Remember, he had a really good car there before he wrecked. If I remember, he was REALLY tight and the track was very loose, as stated by everyone during the entire race. I think because of those two conditions, his car came alive...I think, if his car didn't get damaged, he would have something for Edwards. We better watch out for him at Bristol.. What do you think?

I hope Gordon can turn it around at Bristol. I know he has the talent

Maybe that is what he needed to do.  Not race for the chase but just race.  Many times when the pressure is off things get better.  Drivers, not in the chase, seem to do better when the chase is on...because the pressure is off.  I hope so.  I would like to see him win a race this year.  Him, Tony, Elliot, Brian, and Robby.  I think that last one may be a little far fetched though.

Maybe it was a wake up call for him. This hasn't been a good season for him. I would think he will be tough at Bristol.

Remember, another classic example of sticking a microphone in a drivers face right after an incident.

Nothing is going to change until that clueless fat boy sitting on the pit box is fired and replaced with somebody that actually knows how to set up a race car. At least demote him back to a current position. Give him a broom and let him sweep.  Letarte is pathetic.

He is disappointed as he should be. Just not his year.I will be surprised if he makes the chase. I don`t think he will win a race.
