Has any other pitcher had similar success after being traded in mid-season? Seven total hits (including a 2-hit, 9-inning shutout) in his first two games.

  1. I am not sure any other pitcher has done so, but some could put up some similar numbers after being traded.

But that was just great for Karstens! He was going nowhere in New York and now in a new uniform, shuts the others teams down. And both of the teams he faced were first place teams. I hope that the Pirates have a good future, with Ohlendorf, Tabata, and Morris now in the system!

My brother still hates the two trades, but I think the Pirates needed some young players.

    Good luck to your Pirates!

  2. Dunno about the stats, but Sabathia with the Brewers tore it up.

  3. I'm sure there have been many, but I can't think of one now. But, for a 1/2 season after being traded, there has never been as great an individual achievement as in 1984, when Cleveland traded Rick Sutcliffe to the Chicago Cubs, and he went 16-1 the rest of the year.

  4. Enjoy it while it lasts!!!

  5. h**l cool down it happens a lot some people get hot and some get cold

but it all evens out in the end

  6. Not sure, but I am sure the Pirates are working on trading him away quickly.

    Go Steelers
