Jeff Mayweather believes Timothy Bradley will lose to Pacquiao – Boxing News
Floyd Mayweather’s uncle Jeff Mayweather is of the view that Timothy Bradley will lose to Filipino Manny Pacquiao in their match scheduled for June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. According to Jeff, Bradley lacks the punching power that would be required
to take Pacquiao down.
Bradley, who has remained unbeaten to date, has been into 28 fights by now and this will be his career’s 29th fight against Pacquiao. On the other hand, Pacquiao stands with 54 wins, 3 losses and 2 ties in his career. It should be noted here that
Pacquiao holds the record for the most wins in a boxer’s career. In addition, 28 of his victories have come in through knockout.
In an interview, Jeff Mayweather gave his views regarding Bradley’s capabilities and whether or not he will be able to defeat the WBO welterweight title. He said, “I don’t think Bradley has the punching power to prevail. That might be the reason he doesn’t
win. Marquez just has Pacquiao’s number. Tim Bradley is a totally different fighter than Marquez. It’s not like you’re going to be seeing Marquez in there. You’re going to be seeing Tim Bradley, a guy who’s really not as polished as Marquez. Each time out,
if he doesn’t look good, the light gets dimmer and dimmer. Pacquiao needs a spectacular performance.”
While Jeff Mayweather is certain that Pacquiao will win, some analysts think otherwise. In his recent interview, Timothy Bradley, who should be intimidated by the pound for pound king’s presence, said that it will be an easy fight for him. Bradley surely
does not know what he is up against because Pacquiao has all the capabilities in the world to give him his career’s first ever defeat.
Pacquiao is currently training in Baguio City for the match. Since Bradley has a unique fighting style of using his head and elbows a bit too much, Pacquiao is training hard to get control over him once he is in the ring. Pacquiao will have his WBO welterweight
title on the line for the match so it will be important for him to score a victor.
