also: i noticed last weekend's Nationwide race, Brad Keselowski had a rookie stipe on. Why did he?

As for Keselowski, I have been searching for pictures.  I can't find one.  He has not ran a stripe all season, as he does not need one.  He has ran in the Busch/Nationwide series since 06 and has 50 career starts.  I can't imagine him having a rookie stripe!!!!

AHA!!!  I have solved the mystery!!!  Keselowski did indeed have a rookie stripe on (sorry, but I wondered if your eyes decieved you!)  I found a very tiny glimpse in a video on NASCAR.com.  I had to watch 5 videos before finding it!  And it was only a flash!  Then, I had to think a minute.  And I had a epiphany!  The reason Brad had a rookie stripe on is because he has never ran at Kentucky before!!  He has 50 career starts but has never ran a full season.  NASCAR requires a driver to run a stripe at any track they have never ran before.

Ummm, Keselowski has a rookie stripe on his car because he is a rookie.  Yes he ran some races last year, but if you run 7 races or less you can keep your rookie status for the next year.  Teams will keep a driver at or below 7 races so he can run for rookie of the year the next year.
