Umm, yeah. And have been since his rookie year (my first year watching the sport).

I liked him for the first year or two. Then he got uppity about stuff.

He would whine if anyone got near him, rubbed him, or farted in his general direction.

Kind of sound like a currently popular driver (Hint: Initials are Kyle Busch).

For the last few years he has gotten humbled (I guess is the word) and seems to get it that no-one lies a WHINER.

So I guess overall I am back to liking him again.

I am a big fan of Jeff Gordon & he will go down in NASCAR history as one of best all time drivers not that he hasn't reached that peak already with 81 wins & 4 titles & millions of fans who cheer for him every week

i'm actually a fan of his. not so much last night as i had him picked fairly high in the order on one of my fantasy teams and he let me down, again...

strangely enough, when i first got seriously into watching nascar, i couldn't understand why everybody hated him so much.  i heard the boos in person at a race in vegas, and then heard the joke about a nascar fan's favorite four words being "gordon's in the wall" and seriously didn't get it.  

i asked a friend who explained to me that many people thought he was an arrogant young upstart who people resented for his early success.  so i liked him immediately.  

probably why i took to kurt and kyle so quickly as well.

Nope, but I don't hate the guy, hasn't done anything wrong.

My favorite moment of his this year was the Atlanta race (5th place finish) because it was some of the greatest head to head racing I have seen at the track between him and Bowyer.

He is ok but I never rott for him though i usually root for Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards, but i can't forget the Biffle and 2nd year driver David Ragan as well.

Yes I am...and a Kyle Busch fan. Just wish he would hurry up and get in victory lane or at least be runnin up front more often. Hopefully he'll be strong in the chase.

Yep,Jeffy needs to get back in the pack and get some wins again...he is a good driver, but has had some bad luck this year.

and he is no longer the most hated driver, you guessed it, poor little Kyle Busch, the rude one you know him, he turns his back on kids wanting his autograph and walks away.

oh, yes he does, I have been there and seen him do it.
