  5. Funny thing about a driver who's been around as long as he has and won a few championships along the way. He knows when it's crunch time. He knows when to limp out the 18th rather then crash and get the 43rd. He is the ultimate seasoned veteran of nascar today. Even if he doesn't win in the next 10 races, I'd bet the farm that man will step it up when the chips are on the line. I truly believe he is one of the few that could win a championship without a win. When he's on he is the definition of consistency. top 5 each and every time. No doubt. With a 12th place car or a 3rd place car.

  6. He is struggling isn't he? However, he has managed to stay in the top 10 in the points somehow. I'm a fan but it looks like we'll have to rely on the road courses or the restrictor plates this year for any wins.

  11. With the way the way he has been running in the last few races I think it's going to be a while before he wins. The entire 24 team needs to pick up its peformance fast or it will be in danger of missing the chase. However, he very well could show up at Infineon and dominate from Friday thru Sunday just like he did in 2004 when he won led all three practices, sat on the pole and won leading a race record 92 of 110 laps. Gordon admitted himself that he belives Tony Stewart will be the man to beat this week as he was the fastest car in both Road Course races last year. I think that will carry over to this year especially now that he drives a Toyota, but never count Jeff Gordon out on a road course especially at Sonoma.
