Jefferson Farfan could be on his way out of Schalke during the upcoming winter transfer window
Having invited interest from a host of European clubs this season, Schalke striker, Jefferson Farfan, has been allowed to leave during winters - though, for only the right price. The news was also confirmed by the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Blues general manager, Horst Heldt.
The manager was talking after his side’s commanding display over FC Nurnberg on Saturday. The Royal Blues won that game by a 4-0 margin, courtesy goals from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lewis-Holtby-c22175.
Farfan was omitted from the game due to injury and is expected back next month.
Having made strides at Veltins-Arena for the past three years, the striker-c*m-winger has recently invited interest from clubs like Anzhi Makhachkala, AC Milan and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809.
Schalke officials have confirmed of interest from other clubs but are unwilling to sell the Peruvian for anything less than 10 million Euros. Heldt told that the player is of value to the club and the club doesn't see a reason to part ways with him.
He added that the player wants to leave, and Schalke would only consider selling him if their demands are met.
While talking to Reviersport, the general manager further stated:
"Jefferson Farfan is a key player for our club. Therefore, I would reject any idea like another club coming in the winter transfer window to offer us a compensation of €1million for a deal involving him. Still we have to think twice if there is a club lining
up a bid that feel that money is not an issue, like Anzhi Makhachkala of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991 for example.”
"If such a club offer €10 million or more, we would have to consider that. We are aware that there are clubs considering Jefferson Farfan, but we have yet to receive a bid for him from any other club." Heldt concluded.
Farfan has had a successful stint in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 until now and has 97 league appearances under his belt to go along with his 21 goals.
