Unbeaten fighter Jeffrey ‘Baby Dynamite’ Fontanez is definitely among the rising superstars in the industry, and he is now ready to take on the fiercest fighters in the industry. Fontanez will be clashing with John Nater this Saturday. While many think that
Fontanez is a bit too young for a major showdown, ‘Baby Dynamite’ thinks otherwise.
“I have trained very strong for this fight,” said Fontanez. “We have implemented a plan that we know we’re going to work perfectly to obtain the victory. Nater says that I haven’t had the right opponents to build up my record. Just want to let him know that
he lives in wonderland when he talks about boxing, I have more than 100 amateurs fights and on Saturday night I will turn off his lights.”
Fontanez is just 20 years old and he has already grabbed eight wins, without any losses to date. Seven of his victories came via knockout.
On the other hand, Fontanez’s opponent, Nater is in no mood to be defeated. Nater believes Fontanez lacks experience to face a fighter like him. “I’m ready for Jeffrey, he thinks I’m like the other opponents he has faced, but this time he is in trouble he
has no experience to face me,” said Nater.
The event will be co-featured by an eight round featherweight fight between Colombian veteran fighter John Alberto Molina and former Puero Rican national team’s member Braulio Santos. Molina currently stands with 32 wins, 20 losses, 3 ties and 20 knockouts
whereas Santos stands with 7 wins, 0 losses and 6 knockouts.
While talking about the showdown, Santos expressed his excitement saying he finds it an honour to be in a co-main event. Moreover, Santos revealed fighting against Molina, a highly experienced fighter, would be a great experience for him. However, he did
mention that he is not intimidated by Molina’s profile. For Santos, this is the first step towards more major fights in his career.
The event is being promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions along with Golden Boy Promotions. It will be held on October 13 and will be broadcasted live on The TeleFutura.
