Have you been encouraged by others faithful expressions ?

Anything in Particular ?

I have although I am not totally trusting, even of my contacts I am not unreasonably suspicious. I have been encouraged by others expressions of faith and that there are those that are demonstrating faith in Jehovah.

  1. I have certainly been encouraged, especially when I read the ignorant remarks by some who oppose, and the kind, or at least the not rude, replies by servants of Jehovah. I always try to answer even hateful ones with a mild spirit, and it encourages me to see others do the same!

  2. Yes, it is and at the same gives me a good entertainment when I read some ridiculous statement.

  3. You've enhanced how annoying I find Jehovah's Witnesses proselytizing.  They can't knock on my front door  (in an apt building) but they can post repetitive questions here.

    Yes, I'm free to ignore them, but they waste my time repetitively, having to sort thru them, or reading a question only to realize it is really just preaching.

    I found JWs annoying when I was a church-goer, and I find them annoying as an atheist.

  4. Well, it's nice to know that there are so many on this site. It's drawn me like a moth to a flame!

    I especially like the "Owl witnesses"; they're hilarious!!

  5. Indeed!!!

    I live far away from all the JWs in my congregation, my during-the-week schedule is crazy so I rarely get to meet up with them other than at the English Hall, and then only get to associate with a Russian sister when we walk to the Russian Book Study or travel to the Russian Hall.

    I can't afford long phonecalls, and no one in my congregation sees to be as addicted to the internet as Vot is, so this association with JWs from all over makes up for my being the only JW in the hostel and the entire University (as far as I know).

    Seeing we all live in different time zones, there's always at least one JW online at any given time I log on, so I don't feel alone anymore.

    Vot really, really, really loves you guys (((JWs on Y!A)))

    I agree with your statement to be not totally trusting, but also not unreasonably suspicious either. In time, some people just grow on you :-D

  6. Yes, I am on a daily basis.

    I don't want to call out the brothers and / or sister's names.

    I wouldn't want to be the cause of others attacking them,

    thru email, etc....

    Edit:

    (((((((((((((((((((((((Vot))))))))))))...

    with Love, Agape, Love, I love you, Sister.

    Some of the Brothers and Sister's give an answer and you just don't Know How YOU may be strengthing someone else,

    who is stuck at home or in school, for whatever their personal circumstances may be. I love all my Brothers and Sister's. From the US to France to Russia, to England and back again. I have tremendous apprciation for all the answers, from the minds of those inclined to the true God, Jehovah.

    Annnd....

    Thank Jehovah God!!!!;

    P.Gabby isn't up there!

    Making others sick.

    We can all tell that the truth makes P.Gabby sick;

    She's Constantly Vomiting all over Y/A's....

    Like I've told some children;

    Constipation of the Brain, and Diarrhea of the mouth.

    Yes, I'm a mom; and I know Sick when I see, or hear it.

    vomiting, constipation and or diarrhea- yep, that's sick! alright!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~...
    True, this is not Christian like in any way, shape or form...
    Sometimes, I get sick of all the Vomiting!!!
    And my zeal, burns hot! then I get fired-up!!
    I am human after all, and I am still a sinner.
    I will ask Jehovah for forgiveness.
    And a mild-spirit.
    Even though I am So Bold!!
    Aaargghhh!!!!!!!!
  7. Proverbs 27:17: "By iron, iron itself is sharpened.  So one man sharpens the face of another."
    That's true in real life, and ocassionally true online as well.
    Occasionally there is an honest questioner, and the insincere ones are not difficult to spot.  And avoid.
    It's always good to observe the intense faith and the depth of Bible knowledge and practice possessed by our brothers and sisters.
    Just so long as we keep the Internet in proper perspective.
    1Corinthians 14: 34,35
    let the women keep silent in the congregations, for it is not permitted for them to speak, but let them be in subjection, even as the Law says. 35 If, then, they want to learn something, let them question their own husbands at home, for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in a congregation.
    Paul also made this statement concerning women: “If, then, they want to learn something, let them question their own husbands at home, for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in a congregation.” (1 Corinthians 14:35) This means that if sisters do not understand or are disturbed by certain statements read or made during the meetings, they should not raise points of contention before the congregation. Rather, they should ask their husbands to clarify matters when they are at home.
    1Timothy 2:12
    Women are counseled to “learn in silence with full submissiveness” at congregation meetings, in that they do not raise questions challenging the men in the congregation. The women are ‘not to speak’ at such meetings if what they might say would demonstrate lack of subjection. (1 Tim. 2:11, 12; 1 Cor. 14:33, 34) Thus, although women make valuable contributions to the activity of the congregation, there is no provision for them to preside, or to take the lead by instructing the congregation, when qualified men are present.
    Gabby, sisters DO NOT teach from the pulpit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    The minister conducting the study, always a brother, calls for members of the congregation, including sisters, to answer these questions. But these women are not teaching. They are simply expressing in their own words the thoughts in the article. Even children are encouraged to share in giving answers, and often their comments, usually brief and simple, hit the nail right on the head—to use a popular expression.
    However, there are occasions when Christian women can preach to men. Jehovah’s Witnesses spend a lot of time preaching the good news of the Kingdom from house to house. When a woman preacher encounters a man, must she simply excuse herself and walk away? Of course not. In this case, she is not preaching to a congregation but to one person who may be an unbeliever.
  9. Yes! I have been thinking about this a lot.
    My brothers and sisters from all over the earth answer here and the unity and love among us is so obvious and wonderful! All our answers are fully based on the Bible and in complete harmony with each other.
    I appreciate the comments from some who fully researched the Witnesses before seeing with their own eyes that what opposers say is all deception and lies and that we Witnesses are the only religion following the Bible 100%.
    NO other religion even comes close to having such comprehensive Bible knowledge and obedience to what God has taught.
    Honestly have you ever found any other religious group with so much evidence of unity, love and God's blessings on the worldwide work?
  10. I n my case, yes it has. It make the heart glad to see others defend what we believe.
    And, as a side benefit, it's been good for the occasional laugh. The strange things people write about Jehovah's Witnesses have been amusing.
