Jehovah's Witnesses- The Exhortation To Get Out Of Babylon The Great...???

.... Before she crashes due to her bloodguilt-

Is it because everyone sharing in her bloodguilt up to that point MIGHT not have the opportunity to "free themselves" of it later?

Will the attacks of the beast cause direct deaths to people still clinging onto Babylon? Vot means could belonging to Babylon mean your death? (not only clergy who might be actively fighting the beast but also lay-members who might even attend irregulary?)

I know I haven't posed the question right, but Vot can't explain what she means any better. Hope you can wrap your minds around this! OvO

  1. (2 Thessalonians 1:6-8) That scripture is succinct enough. Other than that its Up to Jehovah.

  2. Take as a pattern the original captivity of the Jews in Babylon: Did the Jews adopt Babylonish false religion while they lived in Babylon?

No doubt some did, but Daniel, Ezekiel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did not.

They remained true to Jehovah even though they were physically captive in Babylon. When their release came, if they were to qualify to restore the formal worship of Jehovah back on Jerusalem's Mound, Jehovah commanded them to leave all babylonish influence behind them and get out of Babylon. It should be noted too, their release came at the hand of Jehovah's anointed king, Cyrus. And they did not individually leave Babylon over a period of decades. Instead they marched as a congregation.

It is in that setting, then, that the future angelic command is heralded: "Get out of her my people!"

Our release from captivity to Babylon the Great will come about at the revelation of Christ's glory. Our heeding the command to "get out of her" will require that we identify ourselves as worshippers of Jehovah at a time when doing so may land us in a concentration camp—or worse.

Our getting out of her at that time will be an immediate precursor to Jehovah's putting it into the minds of the ruling powers to destroy all religion, worldwide.

  3. I'm not sure exactly what you are asking, The scripture says "Get out of her MY people, if you do not want to receive part of her plagues"  There is more to the scripture but my mind is tired and I can't remember the rest right now.I feel like Babylon will come down as an institution.  Jehovah wants all of HIS people out of her.  They are escaping, but for some of them you wonder if they will do it fast enough.  Remember "in her was found the blood of the prophets" and the holy ones and all those slaughtered on the earth.  She is like the Pharissees who Jesus told they had killed all of the prophets and admitted that they were the "sons" of those who had.  He also said that he was testing that point by sending them MORE prophets and they would also kill them.  Which of course they did.

Hasn't Babylon done the same?  Haven't they wiped out and put pressure on and hurt and killed our brothers any chance they got?  Don't they still?  Something about being on this site has made me SO much more aware than I ever was before just exactly how much Jehovah's Witnesses are hated.

But for those still within B the G, aren't they "sharing" in those sins of maligning our brothers?  Killing them even if it should come down to the chance that the clergy might have to cause that?

    So who knows?

To answer what I think is your question, I heard a talk have it on a CD by a member of the GB who talked about (maybe) people walking around with baseball bats looking for any remnant of B the G's clergy because they would be SO angry and would KNOW that they had been prevented from getting life, due to the lies the clergy had told them about us.  Some serious blood guilt indeed if people listen to those lies.

Jehovah is with us, who can be against us?  I've been seeing so clearly this weekend how much Jehovah is WITH his people and how abandoned those are who are not his people.  They are on their own.  How sad for them.

  4. Vot. You know I'm not a JW.

But I would suggest looking at that section of Revelation and compare the cross references to the Old Testament (especially Jeremiah) because when John wrote Revelation he assumed the reader would recognize all of his references to the OT (there are 443 of them in Revelation) but focus on those in the Babylon the Great section. The details of what was expected of the Jews should help you understand.

Keep in mind my favorite rule of thumb as well: If in doubt, don't.

  5. Good Question.  Remember that the destruction of Babylon the Great is PART of the judgement of the wicked.  This will indicate that the Great Tribulation has officially begun, the Great Tribulation culminates with Armaggedon, but is ALL apart of the SAME judgement upon wicked mankind.  Revelation 18:4,5 mentions that God has 'called her acts of injustice to mind'.  So this indicates that the primary judgement in directed to Bablyon the Great as an 'entity' or 'empire'.  However, 1 Timothy 4:16 shows us that our witnessing also 'saves those who listen' to us.  And we know that before the end can come the witnessng work must be carried out fully and thoroughly.  (Matthew 24:14) So, this implies to some degree that ALL (physically or mentally able) will have had AMPLE oppurtunity to 'listen' to the good news and take the needed changes BEFORE Babylon the Great is destroyed.  Of course we don't know all the details of the Great Tribulation time period, but we do know that it will be the WORST thing to ever happen to mankind in history, this could mean everything from food shortages, horrible living conditions, nationwide power outages, riots, world wide panic, and a total failure of all civil services.   If this is the case, it would be VERY difficult for a person to start a study of the Bible, progress and be baptised.  Again, we can not be for sure of all the circumstances, but the indications are that those will come 'out of Babylon the Great' will do so BEFORE she is destroyed, not after......because after it is destroyed there will be noting but confusion, panic and grief for mankind alienated from God. (Ezekiel 7:19)  Now is the time to respond to the Good news. (Zeph. 2:2,3) Of course ONLY Jehovah can judge in this capacity, and there may very well be some situations and circumstances that he will take into perfect consideration.  But all the indications point to this: Once False Religion is destroyed that is the BEGINNING of judgement which leads to Armaggedon, so those who come out of false religion will likely do so BEFORE that happens.

  6. I don't know.

Vot, as you probably already know I am not a JW, and provided I don't get deleted for not answering your question with more than an 'i don't know'-- can I ask, who is supposed to be included within what you are referring to babylon the great?  Is it all religions (ie: Judaism, Islam, etc), or only the christian ones that are not JW?

  7. Gosh, this whole world is the modern day Babylon. The world  exists by Religion, and Religion rules the world. And none of them agree with truth.

  8. Jehovah warns, "quit touching the unclean thing if you don't want to Share in her Sins and Receive part of her Plagues".

Simple as that...you, any of you ,  hold on to Babylon, false religion, and you are toast.

You will come under punishment and her punishment is complete destruction.

My advice is......put down the rosary, the cross, the scapulas and the habits...back away carefully, and then run like h**l for Jehovah's safety.

It's all going to be destroyed like the temple in 70 CE...they were warned to literally get out of it....they did but some went back...today some have left false religion and for some reason, maybe relatives pressure them or holiday fun but they went straight back to it...and Like Jesus said...he will come as a thief in the night...and he will do as they did in Jerusalem way back when...they will kill and capture everyone and bring down the walls till there is nothing left.

  9. If you walked into a large room were there where a large number of people worshiping Satan, there is an alter up by the pulpit and you see blood running down the sides, and you see an animal and/or person laying on that alter, what would you do? Now if someone on the outside of that building and others that were on the way out of it told you that the authority's where on the way and anyone inside the building would be arrested and charged with animal cruelty and/or murder, would you wait for the authority's to get there and try to explain to them that you was just looking ? Or would you leave immediately, warn your loved ones and all that would listen to get out of the building? Or would you say nothing but make sure you weren't in the building when the authority's got there, to bad for anybody else, at least your safe. Rev the 18th chapter explains what a bad place The Empire of False religion("Babylon The Great) is. Matt 24:14 says the good news of Gods kingdom(where people go when they get out of Babylon) will be preached through out the whole world. The Bible says do not touch the unclean thing, so, once we are made aware of who Babylon is, we need to act, and act immediately, or we will be destroyed right along with False religion. John 17:3 says this means everlasting life, the taking in knowledge of you the only true God(Psalms 83:18), and the one whom you have sent forth, Jesus Christ.   Besides, Babylon the Great has already failed to bring world  peace to all mankind, so in away she's all ready falling, we just need to be out of her when the beast(World Government) gives her the death blow, anyone one in her at that time, like her will receive a death blow.

  10. If at the time that Babylon's destruction comes, at the hands of the beast, it is too late to escape God's judgment. If someone is still an associate of her, "sharing in her sins", then they are judged as her supporter.

Whether the beast will take physical actions against those will depend to the extend they stand up to defend her. If they march against the governments, or fight against them, the wrath of beast will be fully expressed on them. Different governments will respond according to their "custom". I would expect the Russian government actions would be more harsh, and I would hate to be living under the Chinese reaction.

This mixing of false religion with the governments has resulted in much human suffering. African political analyst Dr. Xolela Mangcu observed that “world history is littered with examples of mass killings caused by linking religion and politics.” One newspaper recently stated: “The bloodiest and most dangerous disputes today . . . are wrapped in religion.” The lives of millions have been snuffed out in religiously supported conflicts. Babylon the Great has even persecuted and killed God’s true servants, becoming drunk with their blood, as it were.—Revelation 18:24.

Remember at this time, the governments will have decided that "freedom of religion" is an expired concept and "freedom from religion" will be the motto of the day. (Atheists will be dancing in the streets!!!) What leads them to that point, we have no information on, but it could be the continued conflicts between religions or the advancement of the terrorist activities the world has lived with for the past 3 decades.
