Jelly fish this summer?

I've heard about a break out of jelly fish that are stinging people left and right. i was wondering if this is worldwide and would it be ok to swim in the Caribbean ocean bavaro in punta cana, dominican republica

Yes, there is a world-wide breakout of jellyfish because humans are overfishing their natural predators.  Sharks, large fish, turtles all feed on Jellyfish, but the exploding human population is causing overfishing and thus an increase in Jellyfish population.

People need to have less babies and we will have less jellyfish.

it should be fine...dominacan republic is gorgeous!!!

u should probably get water shoes though because sometimes when there is a stir up in the water...things that aren't usually there get in the sand.

Here in Puert Plata (one of the biggest beaches) there are no jellyfish, for Punta cana it is possible, but anyway enjoy your stay at the hotel.

ive not heard of it and tbh

jelly fish to me are scaryer than sharks evan tho sharks do have teeth
