Great Britain’s synchronised swimmers, Jenna Randall and Olivia Allison, impressed the arena with their determined performance on day two of the 2011 FINA World Championships in Synchronised Swimming.
The meet was held in Shanghai, China, on Monday, July 18. The session of the World Championships conducted the Women’s Technical Duet Routine final.
In the corresponding meet, British pair of Randall and Allison earned the tenth place honours with a score of 87.30 points. After the race, Randall said, “We have made loads of changes and improvements to this routine through the year and one element we
have particularly worked on, our spins, we nailed tonight.”
She further added that they had committed few mistakes in their synchronised swimming effort in the final. As a result, the pair had to settle for a lower rank, but they can certainly get back on track by working on those errors in the training sessions.
Moreover, Randall said, “The fishtail and albatross elements went really well. We’ve been working on timing changes for those elements and we’ve changed the style and found that it works better for us. There were positives to take from this evening.”
