Jenna Randall performs in style at the British Gas Synchronised Swimming Championships
Jenna Randall of Great Britain put up a great show in the solo and free solo competitions at the end of the first day at the British Gas Synchronised Swimming Championships in Gloucester.
While speaking about her effort in the respective meet, Randall said, “It was only the second time I’ve swum it all the way through so I’m looking forward to getting the feedback from the judges. It will all help me to prepare for the World Championships
in Shanghai.” She added that this performance will certainly help her a lot for her Olympic preparations. She clinched the Open Competition with a shared score a 182.98 points.
Rushmoor’s Abigail Lawrence grabbed the British crown with a sterling score of 141.81 points. Abigail was extremely happy and satisfied with her performance. The swimmer was excited with her effort in the pool and said, “I was really scared this morning.
I was ill last night and wasn’t sure if I’d even perform today. I’m so happy I did, I’m really pleased with my swim. It’s the last time I’ll do that routine so it was good to go out on a high, a very big high!”
Meanwhile, Sarah Spears of Trafford secured second place with 139.17 points to stay behind Lawrence. On the other hand, Hannah Green of Reading Royals settled third in the respective meet with a total score of 136.14 points.
Green stated that she was contented with her synchronised swim in the respective meet. She had a tough swim in the competition yesterday and she worked really hard to prove her mettle in the respective meet. She is the first junior lift this medal and the
swimmer in happy with the way she improved her performance.
British Synchronised Swimming Team wound up first with a fabulous score of 88.10 points, while Rushmoor was placed second with a total score of 67.500 points. Bristol Central finished third with 67.100 points. Meanwhile, Reading Royal earned the fourth place
honours for their show in the pool with a total score of 66.800 points.
