Jennies Jewel likely to win Thoroughbred County Mares Flat Race
Jennies Jewel has a lot of firepower in her legs; this has been witnessed in each of her total 5 starts. The Jarlath P. Fahey trained bay mare has demonstrated sheer courage and spirit every time.
Since breaking her maiden on September 21, the five-year-old novice runner has been out of playfield. During this period, she has done a lot of workout that might have boosted up her stamina to a great extent.
Now, the Irish mare seems to be all ready to run and win the high-stakes race of Thoroughbred County Mares Flat Race that will go down at Punchestown racecourse on Wednesday, October 31.
The €6,900 race will be run over 2 miles with the surface being soft. She has experienced such type of grounds for at least two times, thus, it will be easy for her to adjust her feet to the track she is supposed to face today.
Moreover, Jennies Jewel’s previous experience with this venue will help her. Thus, the whole situation seems to be favourable for her to thrive. It is up to her and the jockey, Mr M. Fahey, how they capitalise on this opportunity.
The maverick mare performed exceptionally well in her last race under the same rider. That was the John Fletcher Memorial Mares INH Flat Race, held at Listowel. She nicely won it by beating Rosaflora with the margin of 3 lengths.
Prior to this, the daughter of Flemensfirth out of Fishin Joella had finished as the runner-up in May Evening Meetings INH Flat Race that was run at Punchestown on May 9.
As a whole, the A. N. McIntyre owned mare looks to be the perfect candidate for this race. Let us see how she manages to justify her talent.
Honey Bach is too likely to perform well today. The B. R. Hamilton trained bay mare debuted with a runner-up position on January 28. She repeated the same on April 20. Finally, the rookie runner managed to break her maiden with the title of the Albert Bartlett Point-to-Point Series Final INH Flat Race on May 7.
She is too returning to action after a long gap. Thus, a neck-to-neck clash is expected between the two mares.
