Jenny’s So Great looking to stack up wins for the rest of the year when she runs in the Presque Isle Downs Master Stakes
The 4-year-old filly, Jenny’s So Great, trained by Danny O’Callaghan for owners, Bill Poston and Vicki Poston, would want to build up on her victorious return from Woodbine, where she won the Grade 3 Royal North and stacked up another win in the $400,000
Grade 2 Presque Isle Downs Master Stakes.
The race will be held at Presque Isle Downs, over a distance of 6 ½ furlongs which would suit her just fine, on 10 September, 2011.
It is a great opportunity for the daughter of Greatness to add additional luster to her name, when she goes out to contest at Presque Island Downs with a co height weight of 123 pounds.
The Canadian filly will shift away from Woodbine racetrack, after running four consecutive races there, for the first time, and try to test her mettle on the synthetic surface of Presque Isle Downs, accompanied by 14 other rivals.
The 6 ½ furlong test will be for fillies and mares, and the race will be run on the Tapeta surface there.
Jenny’s So Great will once again acquire the services of jockey Jesse Campbell, who has guided the filly in her last four starts, yielding a single win.
The filly’s connections are optimistic that the filly will shine in the Presque Isle Downs Master Stakes, in light of her work-out prior to the race.
She had a workout session at Woodbine and topped 46 other workouts by firing a bullet, running four furlongs in 46.80 seconds in her six furlong workout.
Out of Jenny’s Search by Lost Soldier, Jenny’s So Great has gone on to win 2 stakes this year out of four starts and finishing second in a 6 ½ furlong long optional claimer on 20 May, 2011.
After the disappointing second finish which could’ve turned out to be a winner for her, she pulled it together and romped home in the Zadracata Stakes.
She is coming off a win in the Grade 3 Royal North Stakes also at Woodbine, but all her wins this season have come on turf.
