The former Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper believes the Koln striker could be a hit in the Premier League provided he adapts to the pace in England.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749. He stated that Arsenal are a big club and the striker has a chance to win much-deserved silverware. The goalkeeper commented
on Podolski’s much speculated move to Arsenal at the end of the season.
The shot stopper mentioned that there is a massive difference in the Bundesliga and the Premier League and therefore Podolski would have to adapt quickly should he join the Gunners. He urged him to add extra venom to his play in
order to be successful in English conditions.
Lehmann believes that the Cologne officials must agree to Arsenal’s demands and let Podolski move abroad. He mused that the German international rightly deserves to win silverware. The former goalkeeper himself spent five years
at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and made 145 league appearances before moving to Stuttgart. He made a brief return at the Emirates in 2011.
While talking to a local sports publication, Bild, Lehmann further added:
"He is quick, dangerous in front of the goal, and has a good pass. I'm happy for him if he soon joins Arsenal. It won't be easy though. He will have to get used to the pace [in the Premier League]. And he will have to realise that
participating is not enough. You must win. Expectations are very high."
Podolski has one more year remaining on his current contract with the Billy Goats but is keen on moving to a new club by the end of this campaign. He had previously stated that Koln does not have enough fire power to win silverware
and therefore he would like to sign for a bigger club.
The attacker has so far blasted 17 league goals this season and has been one of the few positives for Koln this season. It will also be the German’s first ever experience abroad if he signs for the Gunners.
