Jens Mouris wins the second stage of the Eneco Tour 2012
Jens Mouris of Team Orica-GreenEdge breaks his silence during the second stage of the Eneco Tour.
The cyclist registered his first win of the 2012 season after dominating the 18.9 kilometre team’s time trial team’s time trial of the race.
He took a total time of 21 minutes and 9 seconds and occupied the top podium position with his team-mates Jens Keukeleire, Luke Durbridge, Svein Tuft and Sebastian Langeveld securing the next four spots.
Team Orica GreenEdge secured the top position with Team Omega Pharma-Quickstep falling just one second behind at the second position.
Team Katusha, Team Rabobank, Team Liquigas-Cannondale and Team RadioShack-Nissan claimed the next three spots in the respective order.
Alberto Contador’s struggle continuous as the Spaniard could not claim any better than the 50th overall position during the stage 2 of the Eneco Tour with his team finishing at the ninth overall position.
He is at the 47th overall spot after the stage 2 classifications after marking his return to the professional cycling.
The cyclist faced a two-year ban for using clenbuterol at the Tour de France 2010 and the jury also disqualified him from all the victories since the 2010 version of the race till date.
Jens Keukeleire of Team Orica-GreenEdge is leading the stage 2 classifications with his Dutch team-mate Sebastian Langeveld at the second position.
Team Orica-GreenEdge also occupied the next three spots with Svein Tuft, Luke Durbridge and Jens Mouris holding the third, the fourth and the fifth positions in the respective order.
Marcel Kittel of Team Argos-Shimano leads the stage 2 points classifications with a total number of 30 points in his pocket.
Arnaud Demare of Team FDJ-BigMat, Taylor Phinney of Team BMC, Heinrich Haussler of Team Garmin-Sharp and Adam Blythe of Team BMC next four positions respectively.
