Jenson Button eager to remain part of McLaren – Formula 1 Update

Formula 1 McLaren driver, Jenson Button has expressed his feelings about his current team, adding that it is his wish to end his career in Formula 1 sport, at McLaren. The British driver considers the team as a lucky platform for him.
The 2009 drivers’ World Champion joined the Woking-based outfit in 2010, with a three-year deal. His contract will end in 2012.
Button added, "When I finish racing here, I won't be racing in Formula 1 anymore. I'm very happy here. I want to enjoy my racing and I'm really enjoying my time here. I can't see any reason to be anywhere else.”
The 31-year-old driver had a tough start to the 2011 season. He finished his first race of the season held in Australia at the sixth place. The Briton worked hard for the Malaysia race and put his second fastest run of the race on the time-sheet. His team
was impressed with Button’s best effort, but also disappointed with Lewis Hamilton’s bad performance, as he completed his run at eighth place, in the Sepang race.
Button took part in the Chinese Grand Prix, where he successfully finished his free practice session and qualifying round on the grid. He started his China race with high expectations but due to some technical issues in his car, he could not manage his pole
position among the top runners of the race. The incident resulted in his team ending on fourth spot at the end of the event.
Button said that he is driving for one of the best team of Formula 1 sport. He further added that he has really worked hard for this team and now he can say that McLaren is his ‘dream team’. He wants to extend his contract with the team, may be for another
three or five years.
Team principal, Martin Whitmarsh has also shared his wish about his drivers, a few days ago. He said that he wants to gather both his drivers, Button and Hamilton for another five years.
He went on to add, “If Jenson says he is totally committed and wants to do x more years, then I suspect that we could quickly come to an agreement. He's a tremendous asset to the team and when we get around to that, I hope that it will be a quick and easy
conversation."
On the other hand, Sauber driver, Sergio Perez aims to be a part of Ferrari in future, as every driver has a wish to take part in the prestigious outfit of the sport.
There is also a possibility that Hamilton might switch to Red Bull Racing team, since there were many rumours that he wishes to move towards his current competitor.
