Jenson Button has full confidence in McLaren – Formula 1 news
McLaren driver Jenson Button has full confidence in his team that they will be able to solve the problems which he has been facing in the last four grands prix.
Button has only been able to score 2 points in the last four races as he struggled with the car’s setup and the tyre management. Nevertheless, he said that he is not feeling upset with the ongoing difficulties and has complete faith in his team that they
will be successful in solving the issues in the forthcoming races.
“I've won a race this year, won many races before and that's where I feel I should be. You do have bad races, so it becomes about pulling together and working out the reasons, and we will. We will understand because this is a great team which has won many
races and world championships, and we've won many great races together, so we will work out what the issue is. I will solve the issues or we will solve the issues together,” he said.
Furthermore, he is positively looking forward to perform well in the European GP which is to be held at Valencia Street Circuit in Spain on June 24.
The 2009 world champion is currently standing at 8th position in the drivers’ championship with 45 points. Furthermore, he is ahead of Sergio Perez of Sauber and behind Romain Grosjean of Lotus.
It will be important to mention that he delivered an amazing performance in the season opener held at Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia and claimed victory after starting from second place in the grid.
Contrarily, he could not score even a single point in the second race at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia and came 14th even after beginning from second grid position.
Nevertheless, he made an impressive come back in the third race at Shanghai International Circuit and secured an inspiring second podium finish after setting off from fifth place in the grid.
Over and above, he is certainly one of the most favourite drivers in this year’s title chase and it will be very interesting to see how the approaching season turns up for him.
