Jenson Button is eager to strike back in 2012 Chinese Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
McLaren driver Jenson Button is eager to strike back in 2012 Chinese Grand Prix which is going to be held at Shanghai International Circuit on April 15, 2012.
In this season, Button hit the road amazingly as he took the victory in the season opener held at Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia. However, the British driver could not be able to perform well during the second race at Sepang International Circuit in
Malaysia and finished at 14th position without scoring any points.
Nevertheless, he said that he has got enough time to relax after the second race and is looking forward to perform well in the third GP while he said that there are many races ahead in the season and he needs to keep himself prepared for it.
“Not really, it makes you a little keener to get back in the cockpit as you're always a bit more determined to be looking ahead rather than looking back. But, like I say, it doesn't really make any difference. In fact, the three-week break has been extremely
relaxing - I was able to get away, relax and keep training. It's still the start of a very long season, so it's good to keep fit and refreshed. I've usually gone well in Shanghai, it's a circuit I really enjoy and I'm looking forward to the race weekend,”
said Button.
Furthermore, Button’s teammate Lewis Hamilton has also expressed that he is focusing on performing with consistency in the season ahead.
Hamilton has secured two consecutive poles in the opening two races while he could not be able to convert his impressive qualifying performances into even a single victory. Nonetheless, the Briton is feeling positive about the upcoming races.
It will be important to mention that the 2008 world champion suffered during the last season because he failed to keep the balance between his private and professional life. However, he said that he is ready to make the necessary sacrifice in his personal
life in order to keep his full focus on making the essential improvements in his performance this year.
