Jenson Button reckons victory is still close to him

After experiencing a sizzling Singapore round the Formula One cars head towards the sixteenth race of the season, to be held in Japan.  Next Sunday would be yet another nail biting and awe-inspiring day of Formula One calendar.
Looking at the current situation of the charts one can so obviously say that the contention of the title is to remain equally hot and happening till the very last race of the year, at Abu Dhabi.
As all the teams prepare for the next round of the season, McLaren team drivers talked to the media expressing their fears as well as their aspirations for the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix.
The British driver, last year, at this part of the season was leading the Driver’s championship safely while this year he stands at the fifth place of the tally, having bagged one hundred and seventy seven points so far. On the
other hand his team-mate, Lewis Hamilton has one hundred and eighty two points under his belt, while the chart is topped by Red Bull driver, Mark Webber with two hundred and two points.
Looking at the entire situation the lean driver reckons that the season is going to be tough till the end of the rope yet he is adamant that his chances of winning still breathe. He expressed his resolution saying that victory
could rest in his hands even now as it is only a matter of winning one race.
Last year though he wrapped up his race at the Suzuka Track at 8th position, yet his place among the charts’ toppers, still stays safe and secure. On the other hand, such a finish this year could prove fatal for the
struggling driver.
While expressing his views for the next round he said, “I’ve spent such a large part of my Formula One career working in Japan that I almost consider it something of a second home nowadays.”
He continued telling Tokyo is one of those cities of the world that have never failed to impress him. He thinks that it contains so much in it that one can keep discovering and exploring it and yet be surprised by its novelties
all the time.
As the title defender talked about the circuit the thirty one year old was thrilled to say that Suzuka is a perfect arena for the mighty cars.  He believes it to be to one of the best circuits of the world that takes a strict test
of drivers’ skills.
“I love the whole Suzuka experience - the fact that it’s a real trek to reach from Europe, the amusement park that you walk through to get to the paddock, the incredibly loyal and friendly Japanese fans - who cheer me on all weekend,”
he told.
The last two races at the track saw the driver finish at ninth place in 2008 while at 8th in 2009. The handsome young man has still not had a victory here at Suzuka.
However, he is looking forward for a great race this year for two major reasons. Firstly because he takes it as a home race as he has spent a long period of his early career here and also because his girlfriend, Jessica Michibata,
is Japanese. Secondly, and most importantly, this race falls at this part of the year which is very crucial for both the titles. This race is supposed to play a very significant part in the world championship.
Only four more races of 2010 are left whereas all the top five drivers seem equally competent and stand just at a difference of 25 points from each other.
Even before his arrival in Jessica’s land, Button’s schedule is fully packed. The weekend is completely occupied by the preparations of the race whereas the days following the race are already reserved for his sweetheart so that
the two can explore the country together.
