Apparently Lewis was quoted as saying he was fitter than Jenson so Jenson challenged him. It looks as if Lewis kind of refused but I hope he accepts later so we can see them compete.

Who would win in your opinion?

  1. Jenson.

    Hamilton is too cocky.

  2. Lewis accepted, then his Dad pulled the plug.

it went sort of like this

Lewis - I think I'm fitter than Jenson, but I've got to prove it

Jenson - Join me in the triathlon then

Lewis - nah not really sure mate

Jenson - OK if you beat me I'll give £10,000 to the charity of your choice

David Coulthard - You can't turn down a man challenge

Lewis - OK I've checked my diary to see if I'm busy and unfortunately I don't think I am lol

this was all said in a light hearted manor.

Later though a statement was issued

'Lewis accepted the challenge like the good sport he is, but his management had decided to withdraw him from it'

Apparently McLaren had no qualms about letting him compete, it just seems like Daddy didn't want to let him out to play half way through the season

  3. Hopefully they may quietly do something during the off season, as for a winner that's a toughie, these guys are so fit it's hard to know but maybe the fact that Jenson has already competed may work in his favour, so I guess I would plump for Jenson.

  4. of course Jenson by default....

LH did accept but his as5h0le father overruled it...

"Lewis accepted the challenge like the good sport he is and in the spirit with which he accepts things," Anthony Hamilton said in a statement.

"But unfortunately for Lewis we are withdrawing him from this."

  5. Hard call. Two drivers who are all mouth and no trousers.

I'd go for Button in a straight fight, I can't bring myself to back Hamilton for anything.

Somewhat typical of the "man" that he needed his PR man to get him out of it (Lewis would love to do it but we don't want him to...it might damage his brand image if Button - 5 years older - beat him).
