Jered Weaver shines for the Los Angeles Angels as the Rangers crash to a 3 -6 loss (Part 1)

The Los Angeles Angels were strongly up and ready for the challenge against the visiting Texas Rangers, and they punished the West Division leaders in yesterday’s game through some amazing batting and ball throwing exhibition.
For the opposing side, things couldn’t have gotten stickier than they were, right then. With games against all the West Division teams coming up after this series, things couldn’t have looked more difficult for manager, Ron Washington. The Anaheim ball club,
on the other hand were trying to do their best in the last few games, they’ve had. For manager Mike Scioscia that was a hard task to deal with, given the fact that the club has been trying to avoid its 2nd worse defeat in a season.
Derek Holland featured for the Rangers and his career as a left hand thrower has just recently picked off. The novice star player made his 9th start of the season against the Angels with an Earning
run Average of 4.12. The ace man had been 3 – 3 on wins and losses and it was a great opportunity for the rookie to make an impression on the roster and the management. That, however, was not to be the case as the quick pitcher was expensive in his display
as a hard line Texas ball thrower. He allowed 6 hits and 4 runs in his 3.2 innings of pitching. He managed to strike out just 1 hitter and pitched 74 times in the process.
Jered Weaver, on the other hand, was a shining star for the Los Angeles side as the experienced pitcher featured in his 32nd game of the season. The star ball thrower carries an ERA of 2.99 for a reason.
His restrictive ball throwing was essential in the club’s success yesterday. He has been unfortunate to land with losses on the board, given his dedication to the purpose of restricting the opponents. Similar to the countless other nights in his career, the
ball thrower allowed just 3 runs off 9 hits in his 6.2 innings of pitching. The figures were good enough to quell the Texas onslaught and dispel their rally in the game.
The Angels began the scoring initiative of the match and it was Mike Napoli who made the first run of the game. The run came in the bottom 2nd and Napoli began with a single to the left centre. Juan
Rivera followed with a grounder out to third. But his shot got the Napoli to the second base. From there he moved to third when Alberto Callaspo grounded out to shortstop. Mike finally scored when Brandon Wood singled to the centre.
The Rangers were 1 – 0 down and two innings had passed away. The teams were opening up now and the signs were there in terms of a waiving battle coming to groom. The 3rd inning saw no display of action
on the front and the teams were firing some strong pitches into the strike zone. Jered Weaver and Derek Holland were doing their utmost best to quell the hitting faction, and much to the satisfaction of Texas manager Ron Washington, the lead was short.
The Rangers finally got the breakthrough in the top 4th and it was David Murphy who converted in the score line for the team. Michael Young started the match with a swinging strike out to Weaver. David
then made his way to the plate to smash a vibrant double to the deep right. Vladimir Guerrero got the hitter to third base with a single to the third. Nelson Cruz made the scoring shot as his RBI (Runs Batted In) single to the left equalized the score line.
The Angels however, were quick to respond and they made Holland lose his focus in the bottom 4th with a strong play on running through the diamond.
