He ran to Canada with his family, maybe we should just let him stay there with the caveat that if he is ever caught here in the USA, he gets an immediate execution. No questions asked, no appeal or reprieve. Then do the same for all the deserters.

  1. Hahaha That's very funny. Jeremy Hinzman already served in Afghanistan before leaving for Canada, so don't say he was unwilling to serve at all. The military would NEVER execute a deserter for the Iraq War when the majority of the American populace disagrees with our troops being there in the first place. A deserter hasn't been put to death since World War II. Yeah that's right, not even when thousands and thousands went to Canada during Vietnam. So quit fooling yourself. The harshest punishment that a deserter has gotten during this war is 6 months in jail. That's right, no deserter up until now has gotten more than 6 months in jail.

I agree, the military is all-volunteer, so why should we put up with the military's c**p?

  2. Hear, Hear.  Now what to do with the AWOL 1st Lt. from the TANG that has been living in Washington D.C. for the past seven + years.

Can we arrest him and put him in prison?

  3. I say we jail his sorry *** if he didn't want to go to Iraq than he shouldn't have singed up for the army i say we take his *** back and lock him up........

  4. Good for him. I'd go to Canada in a heartbeat.

I thought the military is an all-volunteer army. Are you implying that all volunteers should be executed if they decide they don't want to volunteer anymore?

  5. I am all for execution Time of war, too bad, so sad.

  6. Our country used to execute deserters all the time to set an example to other faint hearted soldiers.

  7. Well the uneducated are alive and well as always in the US. If I go to work for a company and then find out they are doing something illegal and quit no one cares. The same should apply to the US military. Of course he should not have been so stupid as to get himself involved in the first place with such a neanderthal bunch of criminals as the US military but we should not necessarily hold that against him.

Time of war? Someone actually said that? A couple people killed here and there and you call that a war? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
