Jeremy Jones and Karakoram Splitboard Bindings join hands to revolutionise snowboarding
The American renowned big mountain snowboarder, Jeremy Jones has partnered with Karakoram Splitboard Bindings to redefine the backcountry snowboarding experience, according to an official announcement made on Monday, August 22.
Reportedly, the 35-year-old Jones has been in touch with Karakoram for over a year, helping the company improve their product by providing them with design feedback. However, the recent announcement served to make the association between the two entities
official.
The founders of Karakoram Splitboard Bindings, Tyler and Bryce Kloster, feel extremely honoured to have the renowned backcountry snowboarder working with them and offering his invaluable services and feedback to take the company to the next level.
Jones elaborated on his decision to join forces with Karakoram in a press release, saying, “Over the last year and a half I have tested the Karakoram splitboard system extensively in some of the most challenging terrain in the world. By the middle of this
past winter it was clear to me that it is the best system on the market, and is evolving at a very fast pace due to the expertise and commitment of the Kloster brothers. I am honoured to be partnering with Karakoram and I look forward to continuing the evolution.”
The Massachusetts-based snowboarder is confident that the splitboard community will benefit from the newly formed partnership. Both parties are committed to enhancing the experience of riders by offering better products. According to the action sports athlete,
Karakoram has the necessary tools and engineering expertise which would help the sport to evolve.
As Jones has his own company by the name of Jones Snowboards, there was some confusion as to whether the two companies would start working together to produce co-branded products. However, Bryce removed these doubts by clarifying that neither of the two
companies have such an intention for now, though they may explore the option in the future. He explained that currently, the partnership was between Karakoram and Jones and not Jones Snowboards.
Karakoram has refrained from giving any dates for the new products to become available in the market, but they have promised that when it does hit the market, it would be nothing short of extraordinary.
