“I love this centre forward position. When I was young, I played number 9 and I took great pleasure in it. Then, coaches often placed me on the wings. Personally, I think the position of an attacker suits me better.”
Since day one, both Menez and Ibrahimovic have formed a great understanding both players indeed compliment eachother. While talking to Bein Sport regarding his relationship with the Swedish striker, Menez said that the presence of Ibra has done the team
a lot of good.
“It’s a feeling, it’s like, we talk a lot at Camp des Loges. He exudes his presence on and off the field. He wants to win all the time, even in training.”
Mood in the dressing room has changed according to the Frenchman who says that the likes of Nene and Lavezzi have also done great in the initial games.
Often criticised for his lack of team-play and assists, Menez has made an absolute gem of a start to the new campaign and is likely to be more and more involved in PSG’s aim to become Ligue 1 champions this season.
