Memphis Grizzlies trade Jeremy Pargo to Cleveland Cavaliers
With both teams looking to facilitate their rosters for next season, Memphis Grizzlies traded Jeremy Pargo to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange of D.J. Kennedy on Wednesday.
The semantics of this transaction have been drawn in such a manner that the Cavs are bound to receive the right to a second round draft pick in 2014 and some amount of cash along with it.
Pargo had played professional basketball in Israel prior to joining Memphis before last season. He averaged 10 points, 6.3 assists and 3.5 rebounds in the Israeli Premier League. Once in NBA, he took part in 44 games for Memphis
and averaged 2.9 points and 1.3 assists.
Utah Jazz reach to an agreement with Randy Foye
Utah Jazz general manager, Kevin O’Connor announced on Wednesday that they have reached an agreement with Randy Foye while only the results of a physical examination are pending.
Once the results of the physical are out and the deal is officially signed, Foye will get ready to represent his fourth different team in his six years in the NBA. He had spent time playing for Minnesota Timberwolves and Washington
Wizards prior to joining the Los Angeles Clippers. He started 48 games for the Clippers last season, averaging 11 points and 2.2 assists.
Phoenix Suns have re-signed Shannon Brown
Phoenix Suns have reached an agreement to bring back Shannon Brown on a two year deal with the second year of the contract partially guaranteed.
Brown joined the Suns before the start of last season as a free agent and in just one year became an important member of the roster. He played a key part playing alongside Steve Nash last season but due to the Canadian departing
this summer, Brown’s role in the team is bound to get more prominent.
He made 59 appearances for the Suns last season and averaged 11 points with 2.7 rebounds and with more minutes bound to come his way, he will now look to improve those statistics in the coming season.
